What can I earn as a HGV Driver?
An average entry-level wage for a Cat C driver in the United Kingdom is around £26k per year, with wages generally increasing as your experience grows. Once you’re qualified as a Cat C+E driver, wages increase, and the earning potential is closer to £32k per year, or over £600 a week.
How does the HGV Theory Test work?
The HGV Theory Test is broken down into two parts;
- Hazard Perception Test (identifying developing hazards in video clips)
- Multiple Choice Test (multiple choice questions).
What is the Driver CPC?
In a nutshell, the Driver CPC is legislation which was passed to make sure that all HGV Drivers have the same skill level, and that they keep their knowledge updated throughout their careers.
